So a few years ago my son used to get really anxious going to school, and as a mom that was honestly really hard for me.
I just wanted him to feel like I was still there for him even when I wasn’t physically there… so I got the Bond Heart necklace.
The idea is actually really cute. You both have a heart, and when you hold it, the other person feels it. Like a little “hey I’m here” without having to text or anything.
And that’s really what I wanted for him.
😅 Setting it up was… a lot
Not even gonna lie, this part annoyed me lol.
When I first got it I thought it was broken. Like fully broken. I even contacted customer service and they thought the same thing and sent me a new one.
Turns out… it wasn’t broken 🙃
What I didn’t know (and I feel like they should say this better) is you have to take the heart out of the necklace to “wake it up” and connect it.
Like the little heart inside the necklace? Yeah you gotta pop that out first.
I only figured that out after watching videos and messing with it way longer than I should have 😅
📱 The app
You do need the app to set it up, but after that you really don’t need it, which I liked. I didn’t want something that relied on the internet.
💕 Once it actually worked
So after finally getting it set up (and now having two because of the replacement lol), I used one and my son used the other.
And honestly… I loved it.
Just knowing he could hold it if he was having a moment and feel that I’m there meant a lot. And I could do the same. It sometimes helps me with anxiety especially as he gets older and wants more freedom.
It’s such a small thing but it actually helped more than I expected.
Few years later
This was a few years ago and we still have them.
He doesn’t really need it now (and doesn’t really want to wear it anymore either lol), but I’m still glad we had it when we did.
Final thoughts
Would I recommend the Bond Heart necklace?
Yeah… just be ready for the setup part 😅
But once it’s working, it’s actually really sweet. Especially if your kid struggles with anxiety or being away from you.

If you’ve tried something like this or are thinking about it, let me know. I’m curious what other moms think about stuff like this.
